The Yorkshire Dales National Park Authority (YDNPA) website has been designed and developed with the aim of providing users with a more enjoyable and interactive experience of the National Park, enabling them to find out more about the National Park Authority.  It is our intention that the site is inclusive and that it provides access to all users regardless of technological or physical disability.

The process of making the site as accessible as possible is a continual one.  It involves constant monitoring of new content, testing the site against criteria such as the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) as set by the World Wide Web Consortium's (W3C) Web Accessibility Initiative (WAI) and the inclusion of new features on the site such as navigational aids and the ability to change the site appearance.

By following this process we will fulfil our legal obligation to Part III of the Disability Discrimination Act 1995 as well as our duty to the communities of the Yorkshire Dales National Park and those people from elsewhere who love this beautiful and very special part of the UK.
