The Yorkshire Dales is situated in the north of England, straddling the Pennines in the middle of the country. To the west of us there is the west coast mainline train service and the M6, and to the east, the east coast mainline train service and the A1(M). Another railway the Leeds to Settle–Carlisle line passes through the middle of the National Park.
If you are coming from the continent the ferry port at Hull has daily sailing from Rotterdamn and Zeebruge.
We always encourage people to travel to the area in as green a way as possible, whether that is using the train, by car sharing, or even better by cycling here in the first place. You can find full information or travelling to and around the area on the Traveldales website.
