The Authority's staff - around 140 of them in total - work mainly from two offices, one in Bainbridge in Wensleydale and one in Grassington in Wharfedale.

Types of job within the Authority are wide-ranging and include: planning officers and technicians, countryside management professionals (rangers and rights of way experts), ecologists, archaeologists, building conservation experts, farm and conservation advisors, researchers, administrative staff, tourist information advisors, education and communications staff and qualified professionals in the field of personnel, finance, IT and legal services.
