Planning
Planning has a vital role to play in ensuring that new developments are well designed and carefully sited so that they contribute to the quality of the natural environment and built heritage, as well as providing homes and work places to sustain the National Park’s rural communities and local economy.
The Yorkshire Dales National Park Authority is the statutory planning authority for the area. All aspects of the planning process, including how to make an application, how decisions are made and committee agendas and minutes, are covered in this section.
