The National Park Authority
The Yorkshire Dales National Park Authority has two main purposes – to protect and conserve the National Park and to help others share in and enjoy it. Our 22 Members, 120 staff and 250 volunteers work with many individuals and organisations to achieve this.
We are guided by a number of policies and strategies, the most important being the National Park Management Plan which is reviewed every five years, and we receive an annual financial settlement from the Government..
